The gold class represents the highest of the five classes of the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal and is associated with the most senior recipients.

This replica is suitable for medal collections, historical displays and presentations commemorating the Gulf War of 1990–1991.

History of the Kuwait Liberation Medal

The Kuwait Liberation Medal was instituted by the Government of Kuwait in 1994 to recognise military personnel who participated in the campaign to liberate Kuwait following Iraq's invasion on 2 August 1990.

The liberation campaign culminated in February 1991, when coalition forces successfully expelled Iraqi forces from Kuwait.

The medal was awarded in five classes, with the class determined by the recipient's military rank or status.

The Gold (1st Class) decoration was intended for the most senior military commanders and represents the highest grade of the award.

Medal Design

The Kuwait Liberation Medal Gold (1st Class) features a distinctive gold-coloured design incorporating Kuwaiti national symbolism.

The decoration reflects the sovereignty of Kuwait and commemorates the international military effort that restored the country's independence.
