The British War Medal 1914-1918 World War One Campaign Medal, This is the bronze version which was issued to foreign labour corps personnel. Most often found to Chinese and Maltese recipients, this was earned in the same criteria as the silver medal.

The British War Medal 1914-1918 was awarded for completion of 28 days service between 5th August 1914 - 11th November 1918. In the event of anyone killed in action during the 28 days, eligibility would be automatic. Following the end of The Great War, eligibility for the British War Medal was extended to cover 1919-1920 for clear-up operations. The British War Medal was issued engraved with service details engraved around the rim of the medal.

The 1914 & 14/15 star, British War Medal & Victory Medal are also commonly refered to as Pip, Squeak & Wilfred.
