The France and Germany Star is a campaign medal for British & Commonwealth forces during the Second World War. Awarded for operational service France, Belgium, Holland or Germany between D Day and the German surrender i.e. 6th June 1944 to 8th May 1945. An Atlantic clasp was awarded to those who were subsequently awarded the Atlantic Star. When the ribbon is worn alone a silver rosette ribbon emblem is worn to denote the award of a clasp.
