History of the Kuwait Liberation Medal

The Kuwait Liberation Medal was instituted by the Government of Kuwait in 1994 to recognise military personnel who participated in the liberation of Kuwait following the Iraqi invasion of 2 August 1990.

An international coalition assembled to restore Kuwait's sovereignty, with military operations culminating in the liberation of the country in February 1991.

The medal was awarded in five classes, reflecting the rank or status of the recipient.

The Gold (1st Class) was the highest grade, associated with senior military commanders and distinguished leaders of the liberation effort.

Make your Kuwait Liberation Medal Presentation Set unique with a personalised engraved plaque.

Popular engraving options include:

• Recipient's name and rank
