History of the Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service Medal

Instituted in 1922, the Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal recognised qualifying long service and good conduct among eligible members of the Royal Fleet Reserve.

The Royal Fleet Reserve consisted of former regular Royal Navy personnel who remained available for recall to active naval service.

The medal acknowledged their continued commitment to the Royal Navy and formed an important part of the British naval long service awards system.

This presentation set features the Queen Elizabeth II (EIIR) version, representing the award during her reign.
