The General Service Medal 1918–1962 (GSM 1918-62) was awarded to members of the British Armed Forces for participation in a wide range of military operations and campaigns after the First World War. Issued with campaign-specific clasps, the medal recognised service across conflicts including Palestine, Malaya, Cyprus, Canal Zone, Arabian Peninsula operations and many other post-war deployments.
