Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal – Queen Victoria Miniature

A miniature replica of the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, featuring the Queen Victoria design and the distinctive crimson ribbon.

Instituted in 1830, the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was awarded to soldiers of the British Army in recognition of exemplary conduct and extended service.

Originally, soldiers serving in the infantry were required to complete 21 years of qualifying service, while those serving in the cavalry were required to complete 24 years. In 1870, the qualifying period was reduced to 18 years.

This Queen Victoria version features the historic Royal Arms and military trophies on the obverse, with the inscription “FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT” on the reverse.
