China Medal 1900 Collection

The China Medal 1900 was instituted in 1901 to recognise British and Imperial military personnel who served during the Boxer Rebellion and subsequent China Expedition of 1900.

One of the most distinctive campaign medals of the late Victorian period, the award commemorates the multinational military operations undertaken to relieve the besieged diplomatic community in Pekin (Beijing) and restore order during the uprising.
